Navy Marine Mammal Program Internship
If there is one thing I have taken away from my experience, it is that animal training is a much more complicated, involved process than I ever realized previously. When most people think of training an animal, they probably think a flick of the wrist and a dolphin does a fancy flip through the air.
While that might be the final product, it takes years and a lot of patience in order to achieve that. Here I present the basic concepts of animal training I learned from time in the Navy Marine Mammal Program; the knowledge that I will continue to expand upon in my future career.
