Caring for animals in captivity requires around-the-clock, meticulous work that goes beyond the training and handling. Dietary preparation is a detailed process that involves following very strict safety protocols. During my time in the Navy Marine Mammal Program, I have received an extensive education on safe and efficient dietary preparation from being in a fish house nearly every morning. I know I will utilize the skills I learned from this again as I progress in this field.
